TMJ back as Johor FA president, escapes further punishment

HE’S back. Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who quit as Johor Football Association (JFA) president a week ago is back in the top post.

The Johor prince changed his mind after meeting Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Sultan Ahmad Shah.

To make it an even more ‘joyful occasion’ for Johor fans, FAM secretary general Datuk Azzuddin Ahmad confirmed no action will be taken against the prince despite him breaching the rules of his six-month suspension by sitting on the bench when Johor Darul Takzim faced Terengganu on March 30.

Azzuddin clarified the decision not to punish Tunku Ismail further was up to the discretion of the disciplinary committee chairman and not because there are different set of rules when dealing with royalty. -Sports247.my
